Setting a goal of $200,000, the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce announced Wednesday it will launch a sustainable resources development campaign to finance new and existing chamber programs, events and publications.
Its Campaign 2013 kicks off with a volunteer event Thursday at Aubriana’s restaurant and will continue for 12 weeks, said Scott Czechlewski, the chamber’s communications director.
Beth Quinn, senior vice president of First Citizens Bank in Wilmington, will serve as the campaign chairwoman and will lead more than 80 volunteers, according to a news release from the chamber.
Serving with Quinn as division leaders are Brad Dawson (TD Bank), Hank Miller (Cape Fear Commercial), Mitch Lamm (First Citizens), Charlie Mattox (BB&T), Rob Gerlach (Transformational Leadership Coaching & Consulting) and Leon Pruzan (NewBridge Bank).
A variety of area companies have already committed to forming campaign volunteer teams. Czechlewski said that those teams of employees will recruit new chamber members and will sell advertising and sponsorships to other chamber member organizations as well as within their own businesses.
According to the release, those companies include ADECCO, AFLAC, Alliance Credit Union, BB&T, Carolina Water Restoration, Coldwell Bankers Sea Coast Advantage, Coldwell Banker Sun Coast Partners, Cornerstone Advisory Partners, First Bank, First Citizens Bank, First Federal, Greene Resources, Intracoastal Realty, Live Oak Bank, LS3P Associates, McGladrey, MCO Transport, Miller-Motte College, NewBridge Bank, Northwestern Mutual Financial Network, Park Sterling Bank, PNC Bank, PPD, Premier Staffing, Professional Health Care Consultants, TD Bank, Transformational Leadership Coaching & Consulting, W.M.
