Chamber Recognizes Business Leaders Thursday

Business and community leaders will be recognized for their accomplishments at the 4th annual Greater Wilmington Chamber of Commerce Business Achievement Awards on Thursday morning.

The awards breakfast will be held at The Balcony On Dock on Thursday, Dec. 9 at 8 a.m.

The breakfast and ceremony are open to Chamber members at a cost of $25 per person.  RSVP to Mary Jacobs at 762-2611 ext. 202.

Awards will be given for Community Advocate, Chamber Advocate and Chamber Champion.  In addition, the Progress Energy Community Champion award will be presented.

“Through our work with the business community, we see businesses and individuals that focus on more than just the bottom line.  These people and businesses are proud to be in Wilmington and call it home,” said Chamber president and CEO Connie Majure-Rhett in a press release.

The Business Achievement Awards breakfast is sponsored by First Citizens Bank, JB’s Scuba Charters and Instruction, North Carolina State Ports Authority, New Hanover Regional Medical Center, StarNews Media, Williford, High & Co. CPAs, BB&T, McGladrey, Wachovia, a Wells Fargo Co. and NewBridge Bank.
