The Greater Wilmington Chamber of Commerce awarded four local organizations and individuals at their third annual business achievement event on Thursday.
“Through our work with the business community, we see businesses and organizations that focus on more than just the bottom line,” said Chamber President & CEO Connie Majure-Rhett in a press release. “We feel that it is important to recognize the efforts of those businesses and organizations that strive to be caring corporate citizens and truly make a difference within and outside of their industry.”
Frank G. Gibson of Murchison, Taylor & Gibson PLLC was recognized with a Chamber Advocate award. New Hanover Regional Medical Center was awarded for its contributions to the community. Robert F. “Bob” Warwick with RSM McGladrey received the Progress Energy’s Community Champion award for his positive impact on the community. For its customer service, Mark Johnson Custom Homes received the First Citizens’ Customer Service Award.
The Business Achievement Awards event was presented by the Star News, New Hanover Regional Medical Center and Carolinas Cement.
