South Atlantic Capital Management Group Inc. has named Tom Moore its director of marketing, the company announced recently.

Moore is responsible for both individual and institutional client development as well as for the firm’s marketing efforts, according to a news release.

Moore has more than 25 years of experience in the field of finance as well as several years in executive management, according to the firm’s website. He began his career as a commercial loan officer with Chemical Bank in New York and later moved to Blue Ox Industries Inc., a North Carolina-based manufacturer of building components. Most recently he was a portfolio manager for Littlefield Capital Management LLC in Winston-Salem. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

South Atlantic Capital Management Group, with an office at 1900 Eastwood Road in Lumina Station, is an independent investment advisor registered in both North Carolina and Virginia. It offers fee-based account management.
