Company description: “We are manufacturers of hoses, fittings and hose accessories. The parent company, Polyhose India Pvt. Ltd., was founded in 1996 by Y.J. Shabbir. What started with seven employees has now grown to over 3,500 employees globally,” according to company officials.

“Polyhose has a footprint in Sweden, Singapore, the UK, Poland, Germany and Africa, among other locations. Polyhose continues to make its mark in various industries, such as on-road and off-road construction equipment, oil and gas, aerospace and life science by partnering and providing solutions to some of the biggest names in the industry.”

Products made locally: “We manufacture and fabricate hose protection, paint hose assemblies and rubber hydraulic assemblies and distribute bulk hoses to our OEM network nationwide.”

Product distribution: “Our products have a wide breadth of applications in various industries. Our products are used in Boeing flights, construction, earth-moving equipment, oil and gas and surface treatment.”

What made the company decide to make its goods locally? Millwala and Mo: “A product made in the U.S., while having access to the best technology, resources and market size, has its own brand value and potential. That, coupled with being able to provide same-day delivery, is a combination that we could not possibly have missed out on.”

What’s your target market? Millwala and Mo: “Aftermarket distribution, construction equipment OEMs, automotive OEMs, aerospace, truck and bus OEMs and aftermarket, life science.”

What does the company have planned next? Millwala and Mo: “We are doubling our Wilmington footprint to do more production work locally and bring value through quality, service and delivery to our OEM customers in the Southeast.”
