Cranfill Sumner & Hartzog LLP (CSH Law) recently named Melody J. Jolly a partner to the firm. Jolly has handled litigation matters since joining the Wilmington office of CSH Law in 2006, according to a news release.

Jolly, who earned her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, currently serves as the vice chairwoman of the Professional Liability Defense Practice Group. This group includes construction liability and lawyers’ professional liability.

During her tenure at CSH Law, Jolly has defended architects, engineers, general contractors and subcontractors. In addition she has defended employers in state and federal litigation against retaliation, wrongful termination, and alleged violations of Title VII and ADA, the release stated.

Dan Hartzog, managing partner of the firm, expressed confidence in Jolly’s achievement.

“Being selected as a partner is a recognition of their individual skills and knowledge, commitment to client service and representation of our firm both professionally and in the community,” Hartzog said in the release.
