A MegaCorp, we know how important it is to give back to our community. Our founder and CEO, Ryan Legg, is a very active member in several local charities here in Wilmington, and he has instilled the same passion for giving back in his employees.
One way we’re incorporating giving back to our community into our company culture is by holding our first annual MegaRun on Saturday, May 21. This event will be a 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run, and all proceeds will benefit the Brigade Boys & Girls Club of Wilmington. This is an amazing non-profit organization that serves over 2,200 boys and girls across New Hanover, Pender and Onslow Counties. Brigade’s mission is to inspire and, through character development, enable all young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. We’re excited to partner with them for the MegaRun.
Along with the 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run, we’ll also have activities for the kids, including: bouncy houses, face painting, balloon animals and more! Race participants will receive: a race shirt, an awesome swag bag, free lunch and 2 drink tickets (for registrants 21+). It’s going to be fun for the whole family, and we’re looking forward to having a great time while raising money for an amazing organization. Please visit runsignup.com/megarun for more information and to register.
Another event we’re excited about is our first annual Non-Profit Charity fair, which will be held at MegaCorp Logistics. We will be welcoming representatives from the following organizations: Dreams of Wilmington, Camp Schreiber, Eden Village, The Salvation Army, The Carousel Center, Weekend Meals on Wheels, The Good Shepherd Center, Brigade Boys & Girls Club, The Children’s Museum of Wilmington and Warm NC. MegaCorp team members will have the chance to speak with each organization to learn about their mission and what they do, and they will also have the opportunity to sign up to volunteer with them.
MegaCorp is proud to be headquartered in Wilmington, and we know how important it is to give back to our community. Through events like these we’re looking forward to bringing awareness to some great local organizations, and making lasting positive impacts.
