Info Junkie: Brian Satz

By Staff Reports, posted May 8, 2015
(Brian Satz)
While running IT support company The Computer Warriors, which has a presence in Wilmington and Jacksonville, Satz spends his days surrounded by technology. “We help others use technology to its fullest and are there to pick up the pieces when it breaks – literally,” he says.

Online, Satz uses the Flipboard news app and has it customized it to “see certain types of feeds that are relevant to my business so I know what’s new in my field and what’s happening in the world.”

Is a fan of the Manager Tools podcasts. “They have a topic for just about anything I have a question on or issue with that can help broaden my knowledge and skill sets.”

TV picks have been Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, House of Cards “and more recently, Bloodline. I pretty much watch Netflix only at home.”

Recently started subscribing to Audible to listen to ebooks on his commute back and forth from Jacksonville. Recommends Brian Tracy’s Time Management. “It’s hard to find a system of picking the tasks to do in a day that matter most when there are so many items reaching for my attention, but this book is helping me reach my goals and be more effective with every hour of my day.”

Go-to apps include Nine (a Microsoft Exchange email app) and RadarNow! – “love a good radar map.”
