Taylor Oldroyd
CEO, Cape Fear Realtors

Previously CEO for the State of Montana Association of Realtors, Taylor Oldroyd is replacing Jerry Panz, who is retiring at the end of this year, as CEO of Cape Fear Realtors.

How technology has affected real estate, according to Oldroyd: “Technology has changed and in many ways disrupted the daily life of our association and certainly the life of the practicing Realtor. But it has also allowed us to act quicker to defend private property rights and promote the availability and affordability of housing. Entire transactions are now completed using mobile products. And our N.C. Regional MLS is fantastic at highlighting what’s on the market.”

His favorite apps focus on productivity, health and entertainment: HabitBull, Realtor. com, Bill.com, StubHub and Mammoth Hunters and food and travel search apps such as Yelp, Lettuce Eats, Delta, Marriott and Cinemark.

For news, Oldroyd checks the StarNewsOnline app, WECT News app, Drudge Report, Fox News app, WSJ, Washington Post and numerous industry websites and journals.

He read another Lee Child book recently and loves to discover the latest adventures of Jack Reacher. He said he is “very much looking forward to Star Wars, Pacific Rim Uprising and the sequel to Edge of Tomorrow.

Oldroyd said mostly he just hits Facebook once a day. “But I will tweet occasionally. I also try to keep up on what my kids are up to on Snapchat.”
