Executive Officer, Wilmington-Cape Fear Home Builders Association

The Wilmington-Cape Fear Home Builders Association, a trade organization chartered in 1965, represents more than 1,000 members, the second-largest homebuilder association in the state.

Newspapers and magazines: Moore regularly reads for work or pleasure: Fine Homebuilding, Wildfowl, Garden & Gun and Wildlife in North Carolina.

Favorite websites and blogs: FOX News – “Just to see the chaos,” Moore said – and ESPN

For a recent book he’s been reading that he’d recommend, he picks Hank Shaw’s Hunt, Gather, Cook.

As far as favorite TV channels go, he likes to use the app, Terrarium TV, saying, “Who needs cable?”

Favorite movies and TV shows: “Last movie I saw was the new Star Wars. It was good so I guess I would recommend that. My wife and I have been watching Shameless [on Showtime]. I would definitely recommend that.”

Moore’s favorite apps include Twitter, MyRadar and PredictWind.

He said, “Twitter keeps me abreast of work/life news in an instant. MyRadar is a really, really good site-specific app for weather alerts, and the radar is really accurate. PredictWind gives me a good forecast to plan any of my outdoor activities like hunting, fishing, surfing or general boating.”

For digital device recommendations, Moore said, “If you have kids and an iPhone, I certainly recommend Life360.”
