By Staff Reports, posted May 20, 2022

Aariene Hansley
Entrepreneurial Academy Education Coordinator, Genesis Block

In her role, Hansley supports Genesis Block cohort companies and the development and planning for the expansion of its digital learning academy. She uses her cell phone as a primary source for communication and to keep up with news and events.

Newspapers and magazines Hansley regularly reads include The Pender-Topsail Post & Voice to be updated with local community events and sports in her hometown in Pender County, and The New York Times is her go-to for national news and current events.

She enjoys reading blogs with the latest celebrity news, and she checks the Wilmingtonbiz.com website for updates on the community.

Grey’s Anatomy, and anything else produced by Shonda Rhimes, are among her favorite TV shows. “All of her shows have a thrill or some narrative that I find interesting and typically become addicted to watching,” she said.

A book she recommends is “Twelve Pillars,” a novel by Jim Rohn and Chris Widener.

Hansley’s favorite movie is Love & Basketball and a film she recently watched that she recommends is The Adam Project.

One of her favorite apps is Facebook, which she uses for both her personal and professional life.

“My connection with my Facebook friends and families is really great and has helped spread an abundance of information over the years,” she said.
