Several area hotel officials have recently won company awards.

Additionally, Hilton Garden Inn general manager Scott Hazle received a 2012 Operations Special Achievement Award.

And Kip Damrow, Wilmington director of sales for Interstate Hotels & Resorts, received the 2012 Sales Special Achievement Award, according to a press release.

Interstate Hotels & Resorts manages the Courtyard Wilmington-Wrightsville Beach and the Hilton Garden Inn Mayfaire Town Center hotels.

Crestline Hotels & Resorts also recently recognized local hotel officials.

Courtyard by Marriott in Carolina Beach’s Jessika Medina and Amy Johnson won general manger and sales leader of the year awards, respectively.

In 2009, Medina came to the area to work for Crestline Hotels & Resorts as general manager. She has received many accomplishments since joining Crestline, including highest guest satisfaction scores for Fairfield Inn & Suites, Marriott in 2009; general manager of the year for Crestline in 2010; and the Marriott Gold Award for guest satisfaction scores in 2010, according to a statement.

Johnson returned to the Port City in 2010 to work as director of sales for Crestline. In 2012, she was promoted to area director of sales. She sits on the board of directors for Meeting Planners International-Carolinas chapter and is an active member in the Association Executives of North Carolina.
