According to a news release from Restaurant News, Batti Cinque LLC has signed a multi-unit expansion deal to bring the Healthy James franchise to Wilmington and the surrounding areas.

The new agreement was announced by franchise developer and partner Greg George of Wilmington.

Healthy James offers nutritious heat-and-eat meal options, supplements, smoothies and fresh juices as well as snacks and sweet bites, all designed to provide healthy options on the go.

Ready-to-eat meals are made fresh daily and coolers are stocked with a wide variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner options for takeout or delivery. Healthy James also offers meal prep options, and calories, fat, carbs and proteins are listed for each meal or snack.

According to the company’s website, Healthy James founders Jamie and Kevin Stich experienced the rise in popularity of meal prep but knew the aggravation people had when it came to the time, cost and effort of cooking ahead. They decided to create a business that helped people by providing a place where customers could eat exactly what they want, when they want.

Local franchisee Travis Hunter hopes to announce a location for the franchise’s first Wilmington store in the coming weeks. It is unclear how many locations the Louisville, Kentucky-based company currently operates, or how many units are part of Hunter’s franchise package.
