Dosher Foundation Receives $50,000 Grant

By Staff Reports, posted Jun 2, 2023
Dosher Memorial Hospital Foundation recently received a grant to help make it easier for hospital employees to keep up with training and certifications.

The $50,000 grant is from the N.C. Healthcare Foundation and the Rural Hospital Leadership and Workforce Development Selection Committee. The money will go toward the hospital’s Workforce Courses for the Continuum of Care Project.

“Currently Dosher Memorial Hospital does not have one unified platform to deliver quality annual competencies to staff through a streamlined intervention. Employees have multiple systems they must access to ensure their certifications are current,” stated a press release from Dosher’s foundation.

Under the project, customized training and education would be electronically sent to all of Dosher’s departments through a bundled system.

“We are grateful for the grant awarded to us by NCHA to help us streamline the delivery of continuing education units for staff,” Dosher President and CEO Lynda Stanley said in the release. “These funds will help us upgrade our current system and help support Dosher in our commitment to providing extraordinary care.”
