Brunswick Foundation Names New Leader

By Ken Little, posted Jun 16, 2017
Cynthia Cheatham was recently named development manager for the Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center Foundation. Cheatham joined Novant Health in March.

In her new role, Cheatham leads the foundation in developing fundraising plans, major gift initiatives, campaigns and planned giving, according to a Novant Health news release.

Before joining the Novant Health system, Cheatham worked at Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Wilmington as an outreach provider representative and a development manager. She was responsible for day-to-day operations and activities specific to meeting a $3.5 million capital campaign financial goal in Brunswick County, which Cheatham exceeded ahead of schedule, the release stated.

Cheatham has been involved with Novant Health in several capacities for many years, most recently serving as the vice chairwoman on the Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center Foundation board of directors.
