Barto Receives Health Industry Executive Award

Jack Barto, president and CEO of New Hanover Regional Medical Center, recently received the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Senior-Level Healthcare Executive Regent’s Award.

The award, which was presented at a N.C. Hospital Association meeting, recognizes ACHE members who are experienced in the field and have made significant contributions to the advancement of health care management excellence and the achievement of ACHE’s goals, event organizers said.

Those considered for the award are evaluated by their peers on leadership ability, executive capability in developing their own organization and promoting its growth and stature in the community, leadership in local and state health association activities and participation in community activities and projects.
