Family Nurse Practitioner Joins Medical Practice

Board-certified family nurse practitioner and certified nurse midwife Amanda Ricker recently joined Wrightsville Beach Family Medicine, part of the New Hanover Regional Medical Center Physician Group. She is accepting new patients.

Ricker completed her undergraduate work at James Madison University and received her Master of Science in Nursing from Florida Atlantic University and a post-master’s certification in midwifery/women’s health from the Medical University of South Carolina.

Ricker has experience working in emergency departments, hospital labor and delivery units, and OB-GYN practices in Florida. She most recently worked at the OB-GYN Women’s Clinic in Jacksonville, N.C.
 
She joins Dr. Peter Kramer and nurse practitioner Laura Quarino at Wrightsville Beach Family Medicine, 1721 Allens Lane, Suite 100, in Wilmington. The practice offers comprehensive family medicine including physicals, pap and pelvic exams, osteopathic manipulation and care for skin lesions.
