New Hanover Regional Medical Center announced today the addition of three new members to the Board of Trustees and a new chairman of the board.
Board member David Sims, Jr. is the new chairman. Former chairwoman Helyn Lofton was reappointed to the board for a third term.
The new trustees are Michael Boggio, the senior wealth manager and chief investment officer at Old North State Wealth Management; Richard McGraw, a former corporate executive from the pharmaceutical, airlines and telecommunications industries; and John Monroe, Progress Energy’s former vice president of the eastern region.
The new trustees will replace Bruce Prouty, Sylvia Rountree and Gayle Van Velsor who have served out their three-year terms.
The Board of Trustees are volunteers who are appointed by New Hanover County Commissioners with representation from Pender County.
