Chamber Hires Canny For Member Services Role

Megan Canny has been named the new director of member services for the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce, according to a news release.
 
As the new director, Canny will be in charge of member outreach, marketing and event planning. She has worked as the events coordinator and in sales for the Southport-Oak Island Area Chamber of Commerce since November 2012.
 
She received her bachelor’s degree in communication studies from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2011, and previously worked for Bald Head Island, Cape Fear Fitness and Team Teal.
 
“We are very pleased to add Megan to our team to manage the services we provide to our members and the events held by the chamber,” chamber president and CEO Connie Majure-Rhett said in the news release. “We look forward to utilizing her chamber experience and her fresh perspective on how to better serve our members.”
