Brigade Boys & Girls Club board member Bill Branch has been honored by the Boys & Girls Clubs North Carolina Area Council with the 2014 New Board Member of the Year Award, according to a news release from the organization. This award is given to a board member with less than three years of service to one of the state’s boys & girls clubs.
 
Branch, who will become board president in 2015, has served on the Brigade Boys & Girls Club board for two years, including work on several committees, and is the 2014 chair of the It Just Takes One campaign, the release stated.
 
“Through his involvement and leadership, the It Just Takes One campaign contributions increased 80 percent over the last two years,” the release stated.
 
Branch, a business consultant who is also involved in several entrepreneurial ventures, serves on the board of Sto Corp. and on the advisory board of Copeley Capital Management, according to the release.
