Blockade Runner Celebrates Halloween, Oysters

By Jessica Maurer, posted Oct 27, 2020
This Saturday, Oct. 31, the Blockade Runner Resort will offer a Halloween night/Day of the Dead celebration special that includes a special prix-fixe holiday menu at EAST Oceanfront Dining, and a one-night room package with breakfast in bed.

There will also be live music and a costume contest Saturday evening.

For those who would like to come for dinner only, the menu will feature fresh tortilla chips with pico de gallo, guacamole and queso, a variety of fresh tacos and desserts such as Horchata rice pudding, a Choco Taco, and Maple Pumpkin Pot de Crème.

For dinner reservations, call 833-721-1939.

Also kicking off this weekend, is the first of the resort’s low country oyster roasts, to be held on the first Sunday of each month.

The event, held on the oceanfront lawn, features all-you-can-eat oysters, with plenty of sides.

In addition to all-you-can-eat local oysters, guests will enjoy a bounty of side dishes and dessert.

Live music from The Hatch Brothers kick off the festivities and local craft beers, select wines and a full bar will be available.

Tickets are $45 per person, available online, and the event is open to all ages.
