Blackburn Joins Lower Cape Fear Hospice

Randy Blackburn has joined Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter as a hospice and palliative care resource physician in Onslow County.

Blackburn will serve as the medical director "responsible for the medical components of care to hospice patients” and will provide “consultative services to patients and families with advanced illnesses, determine and implement hospice and palliative care policy,” according to the release.

Blackburn received a medical degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Morgantown, and earned an MBA in executive physicians' health care from the University of Tennessee. 

He is the current director of radiation oncology at Onslow Memorial Hospital.
