Corning Credit Union Adds Hampstead Location

By Jenny Callison, posted Aug 10, 2018
Corning Credit Union is on the grow again.

In late June, the Corning, New York-based financial institution opened its fifth Wilmington-area location, a lending and membership center in Hampstead. It is located near Lowes Foods in Hampstead Town Center on U.S. 17.

CCU members can visit the center to open deposit accounts, apply for consumer loans, deposit checks and withdraw cash at the full-service ATM, according to a news release. Business loan consultation and wealth management services are available by appointment.

“This location does not have a traditional teller line, but our full-service ATM is available in the lobby to perform transactions on your account,” the release stated.

Corning’s new center “shows our commitment to serving our more than 23,000 members in this area,” Gary Grinnell, CCU president and CEO, said in the release.

Membership at CCU is open to anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in Wilmington, the Brunswick County area and the Pender County area.
