Bank Of The Ozarks Tops Category Ranking

By Jenny Callison, posted Aug 14, 2015
For the third consecutive year, Bank of the Ozarks, which maintains a branch office in Wilmington, has been named the top-performing bank in the nation by Bank Director magazine. The ranking appeared in the magazine’s 2015 Bank Performance Scorecard.

Bank Director’s annual scorecard includes five key metrics related to profitability, capital strength and asset quality, according to a news release from Bank of the Ozarks.

It ranks the 300 largest publicly traded U.S. banks divided into three separate asset categories. Bank of the Ozarks was ranked in the $5 billion to $50 billion asset category.

“Little Rock, Arkansas-based Bank of the Ozarks Inc., which took the top honors in the $5 billion to $50 billion asset category, combines an ambitious mergers and acquisition strategy with an equally ambitious nationwide commercial real estate lending business,” stated the magazine’s story accompanying this year’s rankings.
