Wilmington Bank Executive Named To New Role

By Jenny Callison, posted Nov 10, 2014
Paul McCombie, an executive vice president and Wilmington city executive for Greensboro-based NewBridge Bank, has been appointed as the bank’s sales integration manager, NewBridge announced recently in a news release. He will continue as Wilmington city executive, the release stated.

In his new role, McCombie will work with all of the bank’s line of business directors, retail banking managers, commercial banking managers and city executives to develop and implement business sales processes and initiatives, the release stated.

“Paul McCombie is a highly experienced professional whose industry experience, knowledge and initiative make him ideally suited for his new role,” Spence Broadhurst, NewBridge’s senior executive vice president and chief banking officer, said in the release. “His comprehensive knowledge will bring tremendous value to our various lines of business, clients and shareholders.”
McCombie reports to Broadhurst.

The announcement of McCombie’s appointment was followed closely by another news release from NewBridge, stating that it has expanded into the Charleston market.

An initial office in Charleston has opened, and the bank plans to develop a “full-service flagship branch” in the first quarter of 2015, according to the release, which added that the flagship branch, which is subject to regulatory approval, will be the first of its kind for NewBridge Bank and will support all of the bank’s lines of business.
