Food Lion has recognized a record number of more than 400 associates who are celebrating 30 to 45 years of service in 2026, including long‑tenured associates from stores in the Wilmington area, according to a news release.

These associates were celebrated in April during Food Lion’s annual service awards ceremony, the release stated. Honorees represent decades of dedication, with individuals marking 30, 35, 40 and 45 years of service, according to the release.

“I am incredibly proud to celebrate these associates and the remarkable commitment they’ve shown throughout their careers,” stated Greg Finchum, president of Food Lion, in the release. “Every day, our associates strengthen the emotional connection we have with our neighbors in the towns and cities we serve. Because of them, customers choose Food Lion to nourish their families. I appreciate everything our associates do to bring our brand, strategy and culture to life. It’s our associates who make Food Lion what it is today.”

• William Booth, Store Manager from Holden Beach
• Jeff Melchione, Store Manager from Sunset Beach
• John Rackley, Produce Sales Manager from Wilmington

  
40 years of service 

• Denise Moore, Receiver from Holden Beach
• Kristy Moore, Specialty Merchandise Associate from Wilmington
• Brent Parker, Perishable Associate from Wilmington
