Business development services firm Genesis Block recently hired Aariene Hansley as its entrepreneur academy coordinator.
Hansley's primary responsibilities will be the coordination and collaboration of Genesis Block cohorts and resident companies, according to Genesis Block officials.
She will also facilitate the development and delivery of Genesis Block's four primary entrepreneur programs – Block Basics, Jumpstart Academy, Witts Begin Incubator and Back on the Block Minority Accelerator – within Genesis Block Entrepreneur Academy.
Hansley previously worked as a student support specialist for Communities in Schools of Cape Fear. She graduated with a bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina Greensboro, majoring in communication studies and with a minor in business management.
Hansley also earned a master of public administration degree from UNCW with a concentration in public management and nonprofit management.
