Still Joins Business Journal's Reporting Team

The Greater Wilmington Business Journal has hired Johanna F. Still as its newest reporter. 
 
Still was recently Port City Daily’s assistant editor, having spent four years working at the online publication. 
 
At Port City Daily, Still produced articles as a general assignment reporter. There, she specialized in local government, environmental coverage, feature stories and making in-depth and complicated topics accessible.
 
Still got her start in the news business as a photojournalist first, working as The Daily Tar Heel’s assistant visual editor her senior year at UNC-Chapel Hill in 2015. 
 
Still picked up numerous N.C. Press Association awards for both her photojournalism and reporting during her tenure at Port City Daily.
 
A native of Wilmington, Still worked in Charlotte for a year in the recruiting industry after graduating before returning to Wilmington to freelance as a journalist for a year for various local outlets. 

"Johanna has covered the region for several years and has a deep familiarity with the area and issues here," Business Journal editor Vicky Janowski said. "Her ability to tackle in-depth and complicated topics while engaging readers is something we're looking forward to in Johanna's coverage."
 
As a reporter for the Greater Wilmington Business Journal, Still will cover economic development and industry, among other areas.
