The communication and outreach division of New Hanover County Schools has received national awards, according to a news release.
The National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) announced that New Hanover County will receive three awards of excellence and two awards of merit, stated the release.
"Excellence in communication is part of how we serve our students, staff, and community stakeholders,” said New Hanover County Schools Superintendent Charles Foust in the release. “It’s how we share the good news of what’s happening in our schools and how we open a transparent line of communication for our community to reach out to us. We’re very proud to receive this recognition for the outreach work we do.”
NSPRA, an organization around since 1935, has a mission "to advance education through responsible public relations and communication that leads to success for all students," stated the release.
