SBTDC Names New International Business Development Specialist

The Small Business and Technology Development Center at UNCW has announced a new addition to its team.

Paige O’Neill has joined the SBTDC as an International Business Development Specialist, according to a news release.

The International Business Development Specialist position is new to the SBTDC at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, said Heather McWhorter, regional director of the UNCW SBTDC office.

"Paige O’Neill is a dynamic leader with global experience in business development, business acquisition and integration, multi-site operations and strategic technology development," stated the release. "She embodies a unique skill set across business strategy, venture capital and technology strategy."

O’Neill has an extensive background in the technology field and has led strategic planning, new technology introduction, equity investments and acquisitions of technology companies, stated the release. The majority of her experience has been in the financial services sector.

"Paige has a strong global background and lived overseas for 15 years in Asia Pacific, Australia and Canada focused on large-scale strategic projects," stated the release.
