NHRMC Physician Group primary care practices have been named a Patient-Centered Medical Homes by the National Committee for Quality Assurance, according to a news release.

“This recognition demonstrates our focus on access, continuity of care, collaboration among healthcare stakeholders, care coordination and outcomes-based medicine," said Terry McDowell, administrator of NHRMC Physician Group Primary Care, in the release. "It is a real commitment to putting patients’ needs first and is a major achievement for any primary care practice.”

Among the practices receiving this designation are New Hanover Medical Group’s 16th Street, Ogden, Myrtle Grove, Brunswick Forest and Autumn Hall offices, as well as Wrightsville Beach Family Medicine and Pender Primary Care, stated the release.
