Kathleen Gilissen has been named a certified manager of community associations by the Community Association Managers International Certification Board, according to a news release
Gilissen is a community manager with CAMS' Wilmington region, officials said. CAMS is a community association management firm.
To achieve the certification, Gilissen had to pass the CMCA examination, a test that measures knowledge of community management best practices, officials said.
She joins more than 14,000 CMCAs worldwide "who have demonstrated the skills essential for managing homeowner and condominium associations and cooperatives," stated the release.
The CMCA is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies, according to the release.
