By Christina Haley O'Neal, posted Feb 12, 2019
The Battleship North Carolina has named Stacie Greene Hidek as marketing director, according to a news release.

Hidek is responsible for managing the advertising and marketing programs as well as the operating marketing budget, Battleship officials said in the release.

“Stacie’s education, experience and knowledge make her uniquely qualified to fill the Marketing Director position. She is a welcome addition to our world-class staff and program management," Capt. Terry Bragg, executive director for the Battleship North Carolina, said in the release.

Hidek brings 20 years of marketing and media experience to the Battleship. She was most recently digital and visuals editor at the StarNews, officials said.

Hidek is a graduate of UCLA. She also attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hil for graduate studies, according to the release.

"I am excited to join the staff of The Battleship North Carolina and look forward to further building our marketing efforts," Hidek said in the release. "Captain Bragg and the entire staff of the USS North Carolina have a great vision for the Battleship and I am eager to share my thoughts and ideas. Our goal is to build a connection for the ship’s visitors with its World War II crew and its place in our history and community.”
