Brunswick County Management Information Services Director Steve Randone has been voted president-elect of a state association, according to a news release.

Randone will serve as the N.C. Local Government Information Systems Association's (NCLGISA) president-elect in 2018-19 and will serve as its president the following year, officials said in the release.

The NCLGISA is an association of the state's local government technology professionals who work "to improve the efforts of local governments in North Carolina to plan, design program, implement and operate information systems," officials said in the release. It also works to "influence state laws and regulations affecting information systems."

Randone said in the release that the designation is an honor.

“This nomination, to serve as the NCLGISA’s president, is a reflection of the dedication and hard work Steve shows in his role as Brunswick County’s M.I.S. Director,” Brunswick County Manager Ann Hardy said in the release. “We are proud that his efforts are being recognized in this manner.”
