Atlantic Appliance and Hardware, also known as Atlantic Distributors Inc. of Wilmington, was named the 2018 BrandSource Dealer of the Year for the South Atlantic region, according to a news release. 

Co-owners Mark and Kevin Edwards accepted the honor at the BrandSource National Convention and Expo in August, officials said.

The BrandSource Dealer of the Year awards are presented annually to a member who has "shown continued support of BrandSource and its direct suppliers," officials said in the release.

The firm's partnership with BrandSource has been beneficial to its success. 

"Since joining the buying group in 1995, Atlantic has taken full advantage of BrandSource’s pricing and merchandising programs, its educational offerings, and its peer networking functions," officials said in the release.

The Dealer of the Year must have BrandSource store identification and support the group by attending regional meetings as well as national events.

The 15 winners, which are selected by each region’s membership, "demonstrate a continued commitment to excellence in the retail industry and to the BrandSource name," stated the release.
