McDonald’s Employee Celebrates 20 Years Of Service

By Christina Haley O'Neal, posted Jul 10, 2018
The Landfall McDonald's has honored Traci Knowles for 20 years of service.

Knowles has been a valued employee at this restaurant, located at 1415 Commonwealth Ave., since June 1998, according to a news release.

“I am so proud of Traci for all she has accomplished, and I honor her and wish her 20 more years with us,” said Dennis Anderson, owner and operator of the Landfall McDonald’s, in the release.

Knowles prides herself on being on time for every shift she works and for being named “Crew Member of the Month” on more than one occasion, McDonald’s officials said in the release.

“Knowles was born on Oct. 11, 1970 to Larry and Becky Knowles with Down Syndrome but is a “high functioning” young lady,” officials said in the release, adding that her family is proud at all that she has accomplished.

Aside from helping her family, Traci Knowles is very active in Special Olympics. Over the past several years she has earned Gold Medals in Bowling, Swimming and Bocce Ball.

She is also very active at her church, Port City Community Church, where she is an assistant Sunday school teacher to first and second graders.

Traci Knowles is part of a “Home Care Agency Program.” They see that she gets to and from work each day and they also spend additional time with her after her shifts.
