Wilmington-based Thomas Construction Group has added a new employee to its operations team.

Jake Hoggard has joined Thomas as an assistant project manager, according to a news release. This addition is in line with the firm’s growth in the Wilmington and Raleigh, and Charleston, South Carolina markets.

Hoggard comes to the team after gaining project management experience with another Raleigh firm. After serving in the U.S. Marine Corps for four years, Hoggard went on to assist with historic upfits, both commercial and residential, and steel frame construction.

In his role with Thomas, Hoggard will work closely with project executives, project managers and other team members "to ensure the success of Thomas projects," officials said in the release.

Currently, Hoggard is the APM for The Wade project in Raleigh.

Hoggard graduated from Ivy Tech Community College in 2014 and Wake Tech Community College in 2017. He is also a member of the Construction Management Association of America.
