Attorney Robby Collins Appointed To CFCC Board Of Trustees

By Christina Haley O'Neal, posted Jun 26, 2018
Attorney Robert (Robby) Collins has been appointed by the New Hanover County Board of Education to the Cape Fear Community College Board of Trustees, according to a news release.

Collins will begin his term with the college board of trustees in July.

Collins’ community involvement has been extensive, officials said in the release. He has served as a board member of the N.C. Department of Transportation and a N.C. Azalea Festival volunteer and executive board member, including festival president in 2016.

His service also includes serving on the board of the American Heart Association, a member of the Rotary Club of Downtown Wilmington for more than eight years, and president of Eastwood Village Homeowners' Association.

“As a lifelong Wilmington resident, I have a deep respect for our community and those that strive to improve it. My education, professional experience, and community involvement have taught me the importance of research, open conversation, and thoughtful decision making. In my law practice, I have the opportunity to work with members of the community at large, business leaders, and local municipalities. I intend to apply my experiences and values to my service on the Cape Fear Community College Board of Trustees,” Collins said in the release.

In 2000, Collins was admitted to the N.C. State Bar and the New Hanover County Bar. That same year, he became a founding partner of Collins & Collins Law Offices, PLLC, focusing on real estate law.

Collins is a graduate of N.C. State University with a bachelor of science in textile engineering and received his Juris Doctorate degree from Wake Forest University School of Law.
