Kathryn Bruner has joined the team at Intracoastal Realty, according to a news release.

Bruner, a broker and Realtor, brings a variety of experience and dedication to Intracoastal Realty, officials said in the release. She is originally from the Mt. Shasta region of Northern California. The Coast Guard brought her to North Carolina in 2010.

After retiring from the military and owning a home in North Carolina, Bruner took on a new journey, which lead her to a career path in the real estate world.

"Her passion, ambition, and devotion to others resonates in both her professional and personal life," officials said in the release.

Bruner is actively involved with many local nonprofit organizations, including the Cape Fear Equine Rescue, assisting in the rehabilitation of horses and raising community awareness.

Bruner has also recently graduated from Leadership Wilmington through the Chamber of Commerce. During her experience, Kathryn was a project manager for a Work on Wilmington site.
