Murchison, Taylor & Gibson Names New Partner, Associate

Murchison, Taylor & Gibson PLLC has announced that Amanda Miars has been named a partner of the firm.

Miars joined the firm in 2012 as an associate after graduating cum laude from Campbell University Law School, according to a news release. Her practice areas include business law and taxation, mergers and acquisitions, wills, trusts, estate planning and estate administration, and estate and trust litigation.

Miars received her Juris Doctor from Campbell University Law School. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, with a bachelor of science degree in business administration and a bachelor of arts degree in French.

The firm has also announced that Sarah Wesley Wheaton has joined the firm as an associate.

Wheaton graduated last year from Wake Forest Law School. Her practice areas include intellectual property and corporate law, specifically including trademarks, copyrights, license and service agreements, and the cybersecurity and privacy aspects of mergers and acquisitions, taxation, estate and trust planning, and related litigation.
