Carolina Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Specialists are the newest tenants at Dosher Medical Plaza, according to a news release.

The practice is accepting new patients, officials said. Dosher Medical Plaza is located at 4222 Long Beach Road, between Southport and Oak Island.

Two surgeons at the practice -- Craig Lippe and Chad Fortun -- have joined the Dosher Memorial Hospital's medical staff, officials said.

Lippe (right) is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in joint replacements of the hip and knee, including total knee replacement as well as total hip replacement. Fellowship-trained in adult reconstructive surgery, he performs total and partial joint replacements, as well as hip and knee revisions. He also performs minimally invasive surgery and computer-assisted techniques, according to the practice’s website.

Fortun, also a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, provides comprehensive orthopedic care from non-operative orthopedic injuries to cutting-edge joint replacement and minimally invasive surgery. Fortun joined Carolina Sports Medicine in 2015.
