Proclaim Interactive, a Wilmington digital marketing agency, has hired Sam Bowman and Sarah Payne, according to a news release.

Bowman and Payne will help the agency amplify clients’ messages, officials said in the release.

Bowman is an associate search engine marketing specialist. In his role, Bowman helps clients reach their marketing goals through search engine optimization and pay-per-click campaigns, officials said.

Bowman is a North Carolina native, who earned his bachelor’s degree in history. He previously worked in e-commerce customer services for Reeds Jewelers. Bowman is certified in Google AdWords and AdWords Display, as well as Google Analytics. These certifications demonstrate proficiency in basic and advanced aspects of these important digital marketing tools.

“I’m looking forward to the opportunity to use my knowledge to develop and implement strategies so our clients will exceed their marketing goals,” Bowman said in the release.

Payne (right) is an account manager. She is responsible for working directly with clients by guiding them through their projects.

Originally from Hillsborough, Payne earned her degree in elementary education. She taught elementary school in Duplin County and Wrightsville Beach for five years before becoming an account manager for Castle Branch.

In her role at Castle Branch, she managed 20 top accounts for a year, most of which were colleges and universities. She also developed and was responsible for implementing a New Client OnBoarding Process. This involved extensive close account analysis, client communication and extensive client training, according to officials.

“I’m excited about joining Proclaim and having that relationship with the client, knowing I’m able to make a positive impact in helping them be more efficient and profitable,” Payne said in the release.

Payne is very involved in the University of North Carolina Wilmington Alumni Association and serves as the vice president of the Watson College of Education Alumni Chapter. She also volunteers with the Cape Fear Literacy Council.

“The Proclaim team is really something special. It's incredibly hard to find staff that fits Proclaim's culture and also is expert level in their fields,” Spence Hackney, president of Proclaim Interactive, said in the release. “I'm thrilled that we've been able to welcome Sam and Sarah onto our team. They are rare finds and we're very grateful to have them."
