Tony Harrington, owner and broker in charge of The Property Shop of the Carolinas in Wilmington, has been named the head of the N.C. Realtors Global Network.

The new N.C. Realtors Global Network – a one-stop-shop for N.C. Realtors members working in the international market, as well as organizations seeking to relocate to the United States and North Carolina specifically – officially launched in late January, during NC Realtors’ Winter Leadership Meetings at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro.

N.C. Realtors’ Global Network stemmed from the association’s Economic Development Committee, which wanted to further N.C. Realtors' mission to support economic development and members’ opportunities to increase professional prospects while providing vehicles for members to keep their finger on the pulse of potential investors and international partners, officials said in the release.

Harrington, a native to North Carolina, is chair of the N.C. Realtors Global Network and vice chair of the Economic Development Committee. He was born and raised in the Greenville area, and has been a resident of Wilmington since 1995.

“We are excited to launch N.C. Realtors Global Network as a resource for our commercial and residential brokers. We look forward to providing networking opportunities and new business to our N.C. Realtors members through state and local connections, education opportunities, and supporting community-based efforts to reach the global marketplace,” Harrington said in the release.

Designed to make the global real estate market more accessible, profitable, and ethical for N.C. Realtors, it offers resources, research, a network of experts and networking opportunities for members practicing or interested in international real estate markets, officials said. It also serves as a resource for entities seeking local experts who know the market locally and globally.
