Human Capital Solutions Inc. has promoted one employee and hired another, according to a news release.

The company promoted Ren Yonker to managing director and hired Whitney Miyazaki as business development and market intelligence coordinator, officials said in the release. The two employees are based at the Human Capital Solutions (HCS) global headquarters in Wilmington.

Yonker was recruited by HCS from a national recruiting firm in California in June, and Whitney has been interning at HCS since December 2016.

Yonker is responsible for new client development, quality assurance, client retention, management consulting, candidate sourcing, screening, assessing and being a valuable single point of contact for both his clients and candidates, officials said in the release. He previously held the role of associate director at HCS.

He launched his career in finance within the capital equipment industry providing flexible financing solutions and leasing options for his customers. Yonker leveraged this experience and transitioned to the executive search industry, assessing, developing and placing human capital.

Yonker partners with senior level managers, directors, vice presidents and C-level executives investigating, learning and executing the vision, mission and strategy, officials said. He assists hiring managers in overcoming and solving the challenges they face to meet the expectations of the owners, shareholders and stakeholders.

While in high school, he earned an athletic football scholarship at Clarion University of Pennsylvania, where he completed his bachelor's degree in education.

Miyazaki (left) is responsible for executing relationship management and marketing strategies while converting prospective relationships into long-term business partners and clients, officials said. In her role, she gathers and analyzes business sector projections.

"This provides HCS with a competitive advantage in determining various strategies and tactics for unique market opportunities, market penetration, market development and client retention," officials said.

She also directs HCS’s digital media and marketing content on all social media platforms. She serves as the company’s primary market intelligence resource by compiling research on business sector forecasts, industry trends, patterns and competitive landscapes.

In her previous role at HCS, Miyazaki worked in research, operations and business development while working on her master’s degree at the University of North Carolina Wilmington.

She graduated from East Carolina University with a bachelor's degree in interpersonal and organizational communication. Miyazaki is set to receive her master’s degree in conflict management and resolution, and is positioned to graduate in May.

HCS, a retained executive search firm specializing in life sciences, health care, the industrials and technology, will celebrate its 15th anniversary this year.

The company now has an office in Atlanta, Georgia -- its newest office -- which officially opened on Jan. 2.
