Wilmington Design Co. is a five-time winner in Graphic Design USA's 2017 American Graphic Design competition.

The achievement is for the company's print and online creative work for local and regional clients including, Eastern Carolina Dental, Anlyan & Hively, Nest Fine Gifts and Twisted Lemon Boxes, according to a release.

This is the fifth consecutive year Wilmington Design has been recognized by Graphic Design USA, officials said.

"It's always humbling to be recognized by your design peers, especially at the national level. I was really excited to see that 2 of our e-commerce projects were recognized this year," Bill Hunter president and creative director at WDC, said in the releae. "We are thrilled to be included again this year among so many cutting-edge creative & digital marketing firms."

Graphic Design USA has been honoring great design through its national competition for more than 50 years. The competition is open to advertising agencies, graphic design firms, and corporate in-house design departments from all across the United States.

This year, there were right at 10,000 entries in 26 categories including advertising, internet design and branding. Only 15 percent of entries were recognized. 

Wilmington Design received Certificates of Excellence for its design work in the following categories:

• Eastern Carolina Dental - Logo Design
• Anlyan & Hively - Website Design
• Nest Fine Gifts - E-commerce Website Design
• Twisted Lemon Boxes - E-commerce Website Design
• Fortune 500 Company (Private) Award for environmental graphics
