Alex McDonald has taken on a new role at IronGate Partners, a wealth management firm located in Wilmington, as director of financial planning.
 
McDonald came to IronGate Partners from OmniStar Financial Group Inc., where he worked for four years as a financial planner and associate adviser. Prior to this experience, he was with Northwestern Mutual.

As director of financial planning, McDonald “will be responsible for working with the firm’s Partners and Wealth Advisors to help clients with ‘all things financial’ so they are relieved of the burden of overseeing their wealth,” firm officials said in a news release.

The Winston-Salem native graduated from N.C. State University with a double major in finance and marketing, paired with a minor in accounting.
