Flow Sciences Receives International Business Development Award

By Staff Reports, posted Mar 21, 2017
Leland-based Flow Sciences Inc. recently received an award for R&D and Technology Collaboration at the seventh annual USA India Business Summit Awards Banquet.

The award was part of recognitions from conference organizers to business leaders across the Southeast for efforts to develop strategic business partnerships with Indian companies, according to a news release.

Flow Science’s R&D and Technology Collaboration stemmed from efforts Steve Janz, the company’s vice president of international sales and strategic business development, the release stated.

The company provides containment systems for laboratory, pilot plant and manufacturing areas, with products to “protect operators from exposure to hazardous particulates and vapors while performing delicate operations,” according to the company.

India’s significant pharmaceutical industry, particularly in generic drugs, led Flow Sciences to partner with companies there.

“The generic drug industry is crucial to the viability of global healthcare,” Ray Ryan, Flow Sciences’ president and CEO said in a statement about the award, “and we see what we do as an essential safeguard for the production process.”
