T.A. Woods Co., a local mechanical, electrical and plumbing contractor with a quarter-century history serving the Wilmington area, has announced a pair of promotions.
 
Joseph Smith has been promoted to vice president of the company. Smith has more than 25 years of experience in electrical contracting and first joined the T.A. Woods in 2004 as an electrical project manager and then division manager.
 
Richard Cox has also been promoted to a position as vice president. He has been with T.A. Woods since 2000 and will continue in the capacity of chief financial officer.
