Cranfill Sumner & Hartzog LLP recently announced it added an Elder Law Practice Group to the law firm and hired Andrew Olsen to chair it.

Olsen had operated an elder law practice in Wilmington. A member of the N.C. State Bar Association and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Olsen is a board member of the Elder Law Section of the N.C. Bar. He is a state board-certified specialist in elder law and a certified elder law attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation, according to a news release.

Olsen received his bachelor’s degree from Pomona College and his law degree from Georgetown University.

The firm’s new Elder Law Practice Group offers legal counsel including estate planning, probate, guardianship, alternative dispute resolution, estate and trust litigation, special needs planning and veteran’s benefits, the release stated.

“I am excited to join Cranfill Sumner & Hartzog and help serve the firm’s clients in Elder Law matters. Whether it is estate planning, long term care issues or even family conflicts, my team and I look forward to working with CSH Law’s clients to help meet their needs,” Olsen said in a statement.
