Plantation Village Promotes Stormie Bruce

Plantation Village promoted Stormie Bruce from activities assistant to activities director after a year of joining the life plan community.
 
As director, Bruce is responsible for planning, organizing and installing many life enrichment programs, such as book clubs, painting classes and in-house films, for the diverse residents of the independent retirement living community in Porters Neck, according to a news release.
 
Prior to joining, Bruce worked as a paralegal in the Wilmington area, specializing in criminal and corporate law for 14 years. She then explored other careers and became a chef at Landfall Country Club until she launched her own catering company, Customized Event.
 
Bruce graduated from Cape Fear Community College with an associate degree in business.
